Street Crimes: Banksy Art

For those who aren’t artists, technique, style and whatnot in art will sound very alien. Every true artist, however, knows Banksy and his or her work. Details about Banksy are sketchy; all we know is that he/she is a British street artist whose art is born out of the Bristol underground scene. Some people even believe that Banksy is a group of graffiti artists and not just one person. His/Her street art has been seen all over the world – from Bristol, England, New Zealand, New Orleans and New York City to Palestine. Most of the artist’s work are satirical pieces of art on topics ranging from culture, society, ethics and politics. He/She seems to be especially fond of cops, often depicting them with nonstandard behaviors in several situations. Non-artists should know him/her as well because his art encompasses almost all aspects of the world we currently live in.
